The Temescal Canyon High School Titan Thunder Regiment and Titan Symphonic Band are under the direction of Mr. Tyler Smith with the assistance of Mrs. Katie Smith, and the 2009 drum majors: Chloe Raymer and James Gearhart.
The Titan Thunder Regiment competes across the state of California in the Southern California Judges Association (SCJA), Southern California Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) and United States Scholastic Band Association (USSBA) circuits for both marching tournaments and symphonic festivals. In the 2005-2006 season, they won the sweepstakes award for their fall production Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba du Titans, taking the 2005 SCJA Championship. Two years later, they took the 2008 SCJA Championship with their fall production entitled Pyramids of Egypt. During concert season, they received numerous ratings of Superior (I) at many festivals, and went on to the SCSBOA Regional, while the drumline and winter guard participated in championships of their own. In May 2006, they also performed on the Carnival cruise liner Paradise while sailing to Mexico. The Titan Thunder Regiment dedicates their mornings, starting at 6:30, their Thursday evenings and Friday afternoons to rehearsing, while performing at halftime and supporting the back-to-back Southwestern League Champion Titan Football team at each Friday night football game, and needless to say, various field competitions throughout the season. They also perform at pep rallies, local Storm baseball games and at the TCHS graduation ceremonies every year. Entertainment and excellence are in the hearts of every member, and with the hope to succeed and dedication to make dreams come true, the Mighty Titan Thunder Regiment is on the rise, and is virtually unstoppable.
