Who are the Band Boosters? What do the Band Boosters do?
First off, the Band Boosters is a non-profit organization that exists to help augment the financial, as well as the promotional needs of the Titan Thunder Regiment Band program. In addition, the Band Boosters provide the spirit to inspire and volunteer their time, expertise, skills and manpower to assist and/or meet the needs of the band program. As such, the “Booster” moniker can be defined as someone who “boosts” the band’s exposure, motivational spirit and existence.
The Band Boosters consist of parents, family, neighbors and friends. Basically, anyone who is willing to help promote the band in anyway is considered a Band Booster.
What specifically do Band Boosters do?
The Band Boosters can help in the following ways:
- Coordinating and organizing fundraising events and activities to pay for band supplies, equipment, repairs, and other band needs as identified by the Band Directors.
- Assist the band directors by providing Volunteers for band assignment, including but not limited to the:
o Building of backdrops for the current year’s field show(s)
o Coordination and handling of Bandmember uniforms
o Organization of Chaperones for events and trips
o Assistance with Bandmembers necessities such as food/drink during band events
What do the Band Boosters NOT do?
- The Band Boosters is not a commercial, for-profit company
- The Band Boosters do NOT dictate the Band Director-assigned activities nor do the Band Boosters control the actual band program itself
